Shadab XI beats Babar XI in practice match ahead of SA tour
LAHORE (Dunya News) - Shadab XI won the intra-squad practice match before the tour of South Africa. Fakhar Zaman, who played a match winning inning of 109 runs, said that the team’s preparations for the upcoming tour are well underway.
According to details, a practice match was played between the national squad at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. Babar XI scored 209 runs while playing first, which was later adjusted to 320 runs. Imam-ul-Haq made 91 runs while captain Babar Azam retired on 83.
In reply, Shadab XI completed the target for six wickets in the 46th over. Fakhar Zaman played a responsible yet aggressive inning. The opener was the top scorer for the winning side with 109 runs.
The players will now rest till the South Africa series. They will fly to South Africa on March 26 and play the first ODI on April 2 in Centurion.
