Court orders to lodge case against Babar Azam
Additional Session Judge Hamid Hussain conducted hearing on Hamiza Mukhtar's petition
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Additional Session Judge Hamid Hussain Thursday conducted hearing on Hamiza Mukhtar’s petition seeking to lodge case against Pakistan captain Babar Azam for blackmailing and harassing her.
The judge ordered to file case against the cricketer. The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Cyber Crime Wing submitted its report in the court in which it was stated that complainant Hamiza Mukhtar had submitted an application against Babar Azam.
The plaintiff was issued notice during investigation and her statement was recorded. The provided numbers were registered in names of Maryam Ahmad, Muhammad Babar and Salimi Bibi.
The accused were served notices thrice to appear and present their stance. Babar Azam did not participate in the inquiry and his brother, Faisal Azam, appeared and sought time for the cricketer. Babar Azam has been found guilty in the matter.
Salimi Bibi did not record her statement despite receiving three notices. Maryam Ahmad refused to recognize the complainant or sending her inappropriate messages from her number. She was asked to submit her mobile for forensic but she refused to do so.
