Court orders to file case against Babar Azam over harassment accusation
LAHORE (Dunya News) - Sessions Court Lahore has ordered to register a case against national cricket team captain Babar Azam for allegedly harassing a woman.
Additional Sessions Judge Muhammad Naeem heard the petition filed by Hamiza Bibi on Thursday. The court directed Naseerabad police station to immediately register a case against the batsman.
The woman took the stand that Babar Azam took advantage of her while promising to marry her, but later walked back on the promise. In addition, various other allegations were also made by the woman.
Babar Azam’s lawyers stated that the woman was blackmailing his client, something which she did back in 2016 as well. He also said that she is demanding Rs 2 million as hush money from Babar.
