Pakistan slip to 6th position in Test Championship following series loss to NZ

New Zealand defeated Pakistan in the second Test by an innings and 176 runs.

CHRISTCHURCH (Dunya News) – After losing two-match series against New Zealand, Pakistan have dropped one position in the ICC World Test Championship and slipped to sixth place in the points table.

New Zealand gained maximum points (120) and took their tally to 420 out of a possible 600. They previously beat West Indies and India by the same margin of 2-0. New Zealand are third with 0.700 percentage points won while Pakistan are on 0.307.

On the other hand, the Kiwis have overtaken Australia and became the top-ranked Test team with 118 points for the first time in history. Pakistan are at number seven with 82 rating points.

Let it be known that New Zealand defeated Pakistan in the second and final Test match by an innings and 176 runs at the Hagley Oval in Christchurch and whitewashed the series.

Pakistan were all out on 186 in second innings after New Zealand had piled up a mammoth total of 659/6d in their first innings. The Green Caps had scored 297 in their first innings.
