“The [PCB patron-in-chief] Prime Minister Imran Khan, who is a former player himself, has an opinion on the matters but it doesn’t mean he goes around giving directions. He has a hands-off role. We are an autonomous system under which the Chairman Ehsan Mani makes his own decisions,” said Khan.

The PCB chief executive said that if Shahdab Khan does not fit in the New Zealand series, the team management has options.

He also expressed his joy on South Africa touring Pakistan and said that they (PCB) have worked on the return of cricket this year.
