National U19 Three-Day Tournament: Sindh's Hassan scores century against Northern

(Web Desk) - Sindh’s Hassan Jafri scored a century on the opening day of the fourth-round match against Northern at Ayub Park Ground in Rawalpindi on Wednesday.

Northern U19 v Sindh U19, Ayub Park Ground, Rawalpindi:

Batting first, Sindh were bowled out for 298 in 82.1 overs courtesy Hassan’s 105 off 192 balls. His innings included 13 fours.

He stitched a 116-run partnership for the fourth wicket with Rizwan Mehmood (71 off 123 balls, 10 fours). Talha Ahsan (32) and Adeel Meo (30) were other notable run-getters.

For Northern, Mehran Mumtaz and Mubasir Khan picked three wickets each, while Adil Naz and Hassan Abid Kiyani grabbed two wickets apiece.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa U19 v Southern Punjab U19, Shalimar Ground, Islamabad:

After being put into bat, Southern Punjab were dismissed for 214 in 81.4 overs. Mohammad Faizan Zafar top-scored with a 143-ball 82, hitting seven fours and two sixes. Mohammad Ammar contributed 51 off 97 balls, laced with seven fours and a six.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Zeeshan Ahmed grabbed three wickets for 52 in 21 overs, while Ahmed Khan took two for 28.
At stumps, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were eight for no loss in three overs.

Balochistan U19 v Central Punjab U19, KRL Stadium, Rawalpindi:

Haseebullah’s unbeaten knock of 88 helped Balochistan score 160 for five in 62 overs when stumps were called. After being put into bat, opening batsman Haseebullah was the only notable run-getter for Balochistan as he struck eight boundaries and a six from 199 balls he faced.

For Central Punjab, Arham Nawab was amongst wickets with three for 51 in 27 overs.
