Punjab Police demand Rs 30 million for Pakistan-Zimbabwe series security
Pakistan will play three ODIs against Zimbabwe in Rawalpindi and three T20Is in Lahore.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – The Punjab Police have demanded Rs 30 million for security arrangements of the upcoming Pakistan-Zimbabwe cricket series scheduled in Rawalpindi and Lahore, Roznama Dunya reported on Friday.
The funds have been requested from the finance department which will be used on barbed wires, transport and food of security personnel. The IG Office will release funds after reviewing the summary. The Punjab Police will claim payment of expenses from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) after the series.
Sources privy to the matter have informed that the police were granted less than fifty percent of the total expenses which the department bore during the Pakistan Super League (PSL) and the Pakistan-Bangladesh series. The Green Shirts are now scheduled to play three ODIs against Zimbabwe in Rawalpindi and three T20Is in Lahore.
