Massive blow for Lahore Qalandars as Chris Lynn quits PSL-5

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Lahore Qalandars’ bid to clinch maiden PSL champion title has suffered a major blow as its leading player Australia’s Chris Lynn has quit the tournament amid coronavirus concerns.

The player took to Instagram and wrote, "Thoroughly enjoyed my time at the @thepsl unfortunately in these circumstances I’ve chosen to head home, I’ve always said there is more to life than cricket and this is certainly one of these cases."

"I have full faith in the @lahoreqalandars to go all the way but more importantly have fun lads! Thank you to everyone involved, Pakistan you have been a blast,” he added.

Lynn had scored 113 off 55 balls earlier in the day to help the Qalandars to bag win against Multan Sultans by nine wickets and made it to the semi-finals for the first time ever.

Lahore Qalandars are now left with Ben Dunk, Samit Patel, and Dane Vilas as their foreign players in on the team.
