Islamabad United need a win to secure their spot in the semi-finals.

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Karachi Kings chased down the 137-run target set by Islamabad for the loss of 6 wickets after putting Islamabad in to bat in the 28th match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 5 at the National Stadium Karachi, Dunya News reported.

With this, Islamabad United s PSL 5 campaign is officialy over and Karachi Kings have secured their position in the semis.

Sharjeel Khan top scored for Karachi with 37 runs off 14 balls hitting three 4 s and four 6 s. Islamabad captain Shadab Khan picked up 2 wickets for 28 runs.

In the first inning, Hussain Talat top scored for Islamabad scoring 37 off 30 balls, hitting four 4 s. Umaid Asif, Chris Jordan, Imad Wasim, Arshad Iqbal and Iftikhar Ahmed picked up 1 wicket a-piece for Karachi Kings.

Islamabad United are placed fifth on the points table with 7 points from ten matches while Karachi Kings are second with eleven points from nine matches. They face Quetta Gladiators in their last match tomorrow in National Stadium Karachi.

Karachi Kings had defeated Islamabad United by 5 wickets in their previous game of the PSL 5 at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. United set a target of 184 runs for Kings who chased it down in the 19th over.
