Bangladesh cancels Pakistan tour over coronavirus.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has on Friday cancelled Pakistan’s tour in the wake of the coronavirus epidemic, Dunya News reported.
The BCB has informed the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) regarding the decision. Bangladesh were scheduled to visit Pakistan in April to play one-off ODI (April 1) and one Test (April 5-9) in Karachi.
It is pertinent here to mention that Bangladesh’s tour of Pakistan consisted of three legs. The first leg included three Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) in Lahore on January 24, 25 and 27. Pakistan won the series 2-0 as the third game was rained off.
The second leg of the tour included the first Test match – a part of the ICC Test Championship. The match was played in Rawalpindi from February 7-11 and the Green Shirts had brushed aside the visitors by an innings and 44 runs.
On the other hand, the PCB has postponed the upcoming Pakistan Cup due to coronavirus. The event was scheduled from March 25 in Karachi.
