Some Afghan cricketers hold Pakistani passport: PAC.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Convener sub-committee of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) Noor Alam Khan revealed that some players of Afghanistan cricket team hold Pakistani passport, Dunya News reported on Wednesday.

Noor Alam chaired a session of the sub-committee in which it was told that the national exchequer suffered losses of Rs28 crore from 2012-17 as 818624 passports of substandard quality were discarded.

He maintained that Afghan immigrants are using Pakistani passports and identity cards abroad to conduct terrorism and other crimes, and their activities are defaming Pakistan.

Noor Alam also highlighted the misconduct of Afghan fans during and after Afghanistan’s match against Pakistan in the ICC World Cup 2019. He further directed to get clearance from the intelligence agencies before issuance of passports and identity cards.
