Asad Umar and Muhammad Amir urge each other 'to keep the atmosphere of happiness'
As the thread spawned from a tweet started by the federal minister, Amir reacted on a same tune.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) senior leader and member of the National Assembly (MNA) Asad Umar and cricketer Muhammad Amir were engaged in a series of tweets with a sense of irony when the former, while extending felicitations to Muslims on Eid-ul-Fitr yesterday, made a special request to Pakistan Cricket Team, after defeating England in its second ICC Cricket World Cup match, to keep happiness from fading [in the next matches to follow].
As the thread spawned from a tweet started by the federal minister, Amir reacted on a same tune and stated, “Yes sir, please you all [politicians] shall also do such things to keep the nation happy!”
To this, Umar responded by stating, “InshaAllah, big players perform at a big stage, and this time again [in the tournament] you would prove which class you belong to. As they say, a form is temporary and a class is permanent. And in the match against India, you will take wickets of Kohli and Rohit.”
