Northamptonshire win toss, bat against Pakistan.

NORTHAMPTON (Dunya News) – Northamptonshire won the toss against Pakistan and elected to bat first at County Ground.

Pakistan are playing their second tour match on Monday (today). Abid Ali, Mohammad Hafeez, Hasan Ali, Shaheen Afridi and Faheem Ashraf have not been included in the playing XI.

The Green Shirts are looking confident after securing a crushing victory of 100 runs in the first practice match against Kent. Imad Wasim – who registered a blistering century in first game – is hopeful to score another ton against Northamptonshire.

Pakistan team conducted practice sessions before the match in which players honed their batting, bowling and fielding skills. Pakistan will play their third tour game against Leicestershire on May 1.

It is worth mentioning here that Pakistan will play one-off T20I against England on May 5, and five one-day international (ODI) matches before the World Cup 2019.

The ten-team World Cup will begin on May 30 and Pakistan will play their first match against West Indies on May 31.
