LAHORE (Dunya News) – The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) will announce its squad for the World Cup 2019 and England series on Thursday (today), Dunya News reported.
All players worked hard in the training sessions are keen to get selected in the team. The Green Shirts conducted indoor practice at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) on Wednesday due to rainfall in Lahore.
Head coach Mickey Arthur monitored all players. Bowling coach Azhar Mahmood, batting coach Grant Flower and fielding coach Grant Bradburn guided all players before the mega event.
On the other hand, it has been learnt that the list of the Pakistan team for the World Cup and England series has almost been finalized, and PCB Chairman Ehsan Mani will announce the squad in the evening.
Pakistan team will meet Prime Minister of Pakistan and 1992 World Cup winning captain Imran Khan on Friday, and depart for London on April 23 to play one-off T20I and five ODIs against England ahead of the World Cup.
The 10-team World Cup is scheduled from May 30 to July 14 in England and Wales. Pakistan will open their campaign with the match against West Indies on May 31 at Nottingham.
