KARACHI (Dunya News) – Peshawar Zalmi on Friday crushed Islamabad United by 48 runs to qualify for the final of the fourth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) at Natinal Cricket Stadium.

Playing first, Peshawar Zalmi set a victory target of 215 runs for Islamabad United. A 135-run opening stand gave Peshawar Zalmi a cushion early on, and their middle order has absolutely milked that platform. Kamran Akmal was the top scrorer.

In return, Islamabad United could score 166 runs in stipulated 20 overs at the loss of nine wickets.

Hassan Ali and CJ Jordan took three wickets each.

Islamabad United had won the toss and elected to field first against Peshawar Zalmi.

Both Peshawar Zalmi and Islamabad United had defeated each other in the league matches of the PSL 4. The winning team will face Quetta Gladiators in the final on March 17 at the same venue.
