LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan head coach Mickey Arthur has on Friday said that captain Sarfraz Ahmed is a match winning batsman and wicketkeeper.
Arthur talked to media in Lahore. He said there is nothing to worry about the skipper’s performance as he can bat at any number in any situation.
While lauding Sarfraz, Arthur said the captain dropped only one catch and missed only one stumping in last four and half months. Coaching staff is working with him to get his batting form back, said Mickey Arthur.
The head coach pronounced that bowling lineup of the Green Shirts will be their weapon in the 2019 World Cup. My sixth sense says Mohammad Amir will give a brilliant performance in the mega event as he enjoys bowling in difficult situation, he added.
Many big international bowlers don’t want to bowl under pressure but Amir himself asks for bowing in such conditions, he told.
Mickey Arthur continued that he wants to work with Pakistan team even after the World Cup. He said his strict behavior with players is for their own improvement, and affirmed that he won’t tolerate dressing room’s conversations to be discussed on media.
