India won by seven wickets in 3rd ODI against New Zealand
Ross Taylor was the top scorer with 93 runs on New Zealand's side.
WELLINGTON (AFP) - India beat New Zealand by seven wickets in the third one-day international in Mount Maunganui on Monday to take the series with two games to spare.
Rohit Sharma (62) and Virat Kohli (60) put on 113 for the second wicket as India reached their 244-run target with 42 balls left.
New Zealand were all out for 243 in the 49th over with Ross Taylor making 93 and Tom Latham 51.
India won the first two games by eight wickets and 90 runs, respectively.
New Zealand captain Kane Williamson won the toss and chose to bat against India in the third one-day international (ODI) at Bay Oval in Mount Maunganui.
MS Dhoni is out with a hamstring strain and he is replaced by Dinesh Karthik. Hardik Pandya has returned in place of Vijay Shankar.
Indian captain Virat Kohli said they would have batted first as well as he feels the surface will get slower as the game proceeds.
Williamson said it’s a good surface which should play out well and slow down later on.
