(Web Desk) – Pakistan’s pace sensation Mohammad Abbas has made his presence felt among the cricket fraternity after he ripped through Australian batting line-up with 17 wickets in just two Tests.

Abbas has shattered not only international records but the 28-year-old sensation has also made some new national records.

Abbas has broken record long held by Mohammad Asif as he became Pakistan’s quickest fast bowler to 50 wickets.

The record was previously held by Mohammad Asif who took 50 wickets in his first 10 Test matches. Abbas cruised to 59 wickets in as many Tests.

Abbas has bowling average of 15.64 while Asif has 21.66 after ten Tests.

Abbas’s strike rate is also good than Asif as former’s figure stood at 38.0 while latter’s at 42.
