Asia Cup: Bangladesh opt to bat first against Sri Lanka

(Web Desk) – In the first match of continent’s premier ODI competition, Banglasdesh have won the toss and opted to bat first against young but talented Sri Lankan XI.
“Good wicket to bat first. We have heard there can be turn later on, so better to bat first and make a good total. Boys are in form after West Indies. Bowlers have done well too”, Mashrafe said after winning toss.
The Sri Lankan skipper said, "I would have wanted to bat first too, but the toss is beyond our control. Good to have Malinga back too. It s a fresh series, fresh opposition so we need to start well. The heat is absolutely terrible but you can t think about it. Bangladesh are also playing with the same heat."
