Mushtaq Ahmad denies bowling coach offer for Bangladesh cricket team

The former league spinner is also expected to become part of national cricket team.

LAHORE (Dumyat News) – Former Pakistani Test cricketer Mushtaq Ahmad has apologized from coaching Bangladesh cricket team on the request of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).

According to details, PCB requested Mushtaq Ahmad to serve as bowling coach of Bangladesh cricket team however, the ex-cricketer refused the offer, saying that he wants to serve Pakistan.

The former league spinner is also expected to become part of national cricket team.

It is pertinent here to mention that Mushtaq is currently serving as head coach at National Cricket Academy (NCA).

Earlier, in 2008, he performed duties as bowling coach for England cricket team that won the T20 World Cup in 2010. He also trained best bowler of England Graeme Swann.

In 2014, he was given charge of bowling consultant in Pakistan cricket team however, in 2016, he became head coach at NCA.
