(Web Desk) – International Cricket Council (ICC) on Monday felicitated former Pakistani pace sensation Shoaib Akhtar aka Rawalpindi express as he turned 43 today.

“He s regarded as the fastest bowler of all time, reaching a top speed of 161.3kmph, and claimed 444 international wickets.

Happy birthday to the Rawalpindi Express, @shoaib100mph!”, tweeted ICC on popular micro-blogging website Twitter.

ICC also tweeted video of that match in which Shoaib Akhtar bowled fasted bowl in recorded ODI history to date.

In 224 appearances for Pakistan, the speedster picked 444 wickets with 16 five-wicket hauls.

Akhtar made his Test debut in 1997 against West Indies whereas he made his ODI debut in 1998 against Zimbabwe.
