LAHORE (Dunya News) – Former Pakistani wicket-keeper Kamran Akmal has failed to impress coach Mickey Arthur despite hitting the only century in the third edition of the Pakistan Super League, the fastest fifty and the top in batsmen ranking.

Coach of national cricket team of Pakistan, Mickey Arthur has dismissed the possibility of comeback of Kamran Akmal in the national team, maintaining that the pressure in international cricket is completely different from league cricket. He said that Kamran Akmal has been given sufficient chances to prove himself through comebacks, but he has failed to cope with the international situation.

Kamran Akmal is the top scorer in the ongoing PSL and has also scored the only century of this season and the fastest fifty in the history of the PSL. He scored fifty against Karachi Kings off just 17 balls in the second eliminator in Lahore.

Kamran Akmal hopes to play for his country once again and says that one person cannot stop him from doing that.

Kamran Akmal is the opening batsman of the defending champions, Peshawar Zalmi, who are through to final after beating Karachi Kings and Quetta Gladiators in the eliminators. They will face the mighty Islamabad United in the final in Karachi.
