Being sent in to bat, Zalmi were off to a stellar start despite early wicket of Akmal. Smith and Hafeez added 56 runs for second wicket. Smith departed after blistering knock of 49.
After his dismissal, Gladiators bowlers soared pressure on Zalmi. With boundaries coming hard, Zalmi lost wickets in regular interval but a late cameo from the skipper eventually lifted them to respectable total of 157.
