Islamabad United opted to bowl against table-toppers Karachi Kings in the 15th fixture of Pakistan Super League (PSL ) 2018 here at Sharjah International Cricket Stadium.

United lost Denly early as right-arm fast bowler Mohammad Sami removed clean bowled him with a stunner. Denly made only 4 runs.

Following early blow, both Azam and Khurrum adopted a cautious approach. Kings brought fifty in the first ball of eleventh over.

United bowlers continued to exert pressure but sloppy fielding efforts allowed Kings’ batsmen to uplift run rate and built a fruitful partnership. Khurrum Manzoor and Babar Azam brought their fifties in the same over on 40 and 47 balls respectively.

Khurrum finally departed on the individual score of 51. He along with Babar Azam added 101 runs for the second wicket.

As Kings looked to accelerate, United’s bowlers kept things under stern check through some brilliant bowling in the death overs. They clinched three important wickets. Babar was dismissed on the individual score of 55.

Ingram was caught-behind on 1 while in-form Bopara fell prey to run-out on 8.

The middle order of Karachi Kings failed to utilize the good start and but a late cameo from Rizwan lifted Karachi to 153.

United have won two out of their four completed match. On the other hand, Imad-led Kings are thus far a force to be reckoned with as they remain undefeated in the tournament.
