Kevin Pietersen 'declares' two-decade long cricket career

(Web Desk) – English Kevin Pietersen has announced retirement from international cricket on Tuesday stating that Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2018 is going to be his last stint.
Former English skipper wrote on Instagram: “The journey has been absolutely amazing & for the next 3/4 weeks I’ll be a current professional & then it’s chapter closed.”
Earlier, the star player had termed KFC Big Bash his last stint admitting that his energy as an international player was “dwindling”. He represented Melbourne Stars for the fourth consecutive time in the Big Bash League and has come out of alleged retirement for PSL 2018 in Dubai declaring it the final goodbye of his two-decade long career.
Pietersen had told cricket.com.au in December 2017: “I am definitely coming to the end of my playing time. So I am definitely going to enjoy the last few digs. It s fairly close.”
On Instagram today before leaving for Dubai, he further stated: “Countless goodbyes to @jessicalibertyx & my kids as a cricket player & this one this evening is the last one I’ll ever have to do.”
