KARACHI (Dunya News) – Former Pakistan captain Misbah-ul-Haq has refused to play the final match of the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy to give chance to youngsters.

According to details, Sui Northern Gas Pipe Lines (SNGPL) contacted Misbah to represent their side in the final, and the management also requested him to play.

The 43-year-old turned down this offer and opted the stance that team is playing with good combination and the batsmen in middle order are performing well.

The former skipper maintained that his participation at this moment will disturb the team and will be unfair to young players. SNGPL appreciated Misbah’s stance.

It is worth mentioning here that SNGPL are playing the final game of the championship against WAPDA on Thursday (today). The match, scheduled from December 21 to 25, is being played at the National Stadium Karachi.
