Kamran Akmal becomes Asia's first wicketkeeper with 800 FC catches
Kamran Akmal has played 53 Test matches for Pakistan.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan wicketkeeper Kamran Akmal has added another feather to his cap by becoming first Asian to complete 800 catches behind the stumps in first-class cricket.
According to details, Akmal has dismissed 865 batsmen as a wicketkeeper in 227 matches which include 804 catches and 61 stumpings.

The wicketkeeper-batsman represents WAPDA in the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy. He started his first-class career in 1997 and played 53 Test matches for Pakistan as well.
England’s Bob Taylor holds the overall first-class record for most catches by pocketing the ball in his gloves 1473 times behind the wickets.
