Summary Detail of salaries given to Pakistani cricketers from 2013 to 2017 presented in Senate session

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Senate session on Thursday discussed the detail of salaries given to Pakistani cricketers from 2103 to 2017 after the list was presented before the lawmakers.

In the report, the senators were told about the income received by all major and minor national players from Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) as match fee. The former Test as well as ODI skipper, Misbah-ul-Haq, was said to earn Rs 70.14 million.

Others in the list included Shahid Afridi (Rs 0.5 million), Asad Shafiq (Rs 110 million) and Pakistani skipper in all three formats, Sarfraz Ahmed (Rs 60 million).

Surprisingly, the player who topped the list by getting the highest salary as match fee was not Afridi, Misbah or Sarfraz, but Test batsman Shafiq. He received Rs 110 million as salary from match fee.

Former Test batsman and the highest scorer in the longest format for the country, Younis Khan, earned Rs 50.98 million.

Selfie star Ahmed Shehzad bagged Rs 50.89 million while former captain Azhar Ali’s income in the account was summed up as Rs 60 million.

The list also had Muhammad Irfan, Muhammad Hafeez and Hasan Ali who have managed to earn over millions of rupees from the board by playing international cricket.
