(Web Desk) – Pakistani players signed by franchises of Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) may suffer huge monetary losses as dates of the T20 tournament overlap with the local National Twenty20 cup organised by Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).

The board has directed all players under annual contracts to be available for the National Twenty20 cup as well as West Indies tour. BPL matches start from November 4 in Sylhet while National Twenty20 will be held in Faisalabad from November 11 onwards. The local league based on district teams will end on November 28 while the last match of BPL is scheduled to be played between finalists on December 12.

Prominent Pakistani names including skipper Sarfraz Ahmed, Shoaib Malik, Shadab Khan, Fakhar Zaman, Rumman Raees, Hasan Ali, Faheem Ashraf and others have already signed for BPL. It was reported by CricTracker that Sarfraz could lose as much as $US 50,000 if he misses first half of BPL. As PCB has made the participation of international players compulsory, those who have signed contracts with BPL may have to skip the first half of the exciting league.
