Summary Zimbabwe won the toss and opted to bowl first in the final one day
HAMBANTOTA (Dunya News) – Sikandar Raza while exhibiting some fine all-round performance against Sri Lanka in the series decider helped his team to record the first series win in a bilateral series as Zimbabwe reached home in 38.1 overs while chasing 205 runs target in 38.1 overs.

A perfect display of maginificent bowling by the spinners most particularly Sikandar Raza restricted Sri Lanka to 203 for eight in the allotted overs.Gunaratne 59 not out and Gunathilaka 52 were the notable performances from the host side.
Masakadza lead from the front as he thumped Sri Lankan bowlers all around the wicket to star in the historic chase. Moreover, Sikandar’s 27 run innings was also proved to be the decisive factor in the series clinching win.
In the end it was Zimbabwe beating Sri Lanka by three wickets to reord the first ever bilateral series win against Sri Lanka.
