Bumrah's grandfather drives auto to make ends meet

Santok Singh told that he could not handle his business after the death of Jasprit Bumrah's father.

UTTARAKHAND (Web Desk) – The 84-year-old grandfather of India fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah, Santok Singh Bumrah is forced to live a live a miserable life as he drives an auto to make ends meet and is living in rented house in Uddham Singh Nagar, Uttarakhand.

Santok Singh told that after the death of his son Jasbir Singh Bumrah, Jasprit Bumrah’s father, he could not handle his business alone and suffered losses. Santok let it be known that he was owner of three factories, but after the death of Jasprit’s father in 2001, he was unable to run them due to old age.

Santok Singh sold his factories and moved to Uddham Singh Nagar in 2006 where he bought four auto tempos, but went in loss once again.

The 84-year-old said he is very proud of his grandson’s achievements, and feels very happy when he watches him playing in the television. He also expressed his wish to meet Jasprit Bumrah and to hug him.
