Summary Counsel for PCB has rejected allegations against the board

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Counsel for spot-fixing accused Khalid Lateef, has accused Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Thursday of having a role in Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2017 fixing.

While talking to the media in Lahore after a hearing of the tribunal, counsel for the defendant rhetorically asked why the cricket board did not move to arrest the bookies if the authorities had learnt of their arrival three days before.

However, legal team of the board rejected the allegations leveled against the cricket authorities headquartered in Lahore.

The tribunal heard petition of the suspended cricketer over his reservations against tribunal head Justice (r) Asghar Haider.

Counsel for the board said that verdict regarding eligibility of the tribunal head is expected within two to three days whereas those in cases concerning Shahzaib Hassan and Nasir Jamshed in two months.
