WEB DESK - After their humiliating defeat at the hands of arch-rivals in the first match of ICC Champions Trophy, Pakistani team bounced back against all odds and fought like cornered tigers to face their frenemies yet again in the final.

With cricket becoming a game of so much glorious uncertainities, it’s the cricket fans in South Asia who will yet again be witnessing the showstopper of the year in the shape of Pak-India final at The Oval on June 16.

However, head-to-head results at every competition do matter as it somehow has psychological influence on the final outcome of the match.

As far as the head-to-head results at the ICC Champions Trophy are concerned, it stands at 2-2 with both the team winning two matches out of the four times they face each other.

It was in 2004 and then again in 2009, when Pakistan knocked their arch-rivals in the Champions Trophy tournaments. The Indian side came strongly as they defeated men in green not only in 2013 but also somehow humiliated them in the first match of ICC Champions Trophy 2017.

With India completely dominating the proceedings at World-Cup encounters, an oppurtunity awaits Pakistan if they could turn the tables and show India as to who the boss is by winning the final of ICC Champions Trophy 2017.

It is worth mentioning here that Pakistan has never defeated India at the World Cup matches out of the eleven times they faced each others during the one-day and T-20 formats of these mega tournamnets.

If Pakistan defeat India at the final, it will be 3-2 and the figures would some how favor ‘Men in Green’ whenever we come up with head-to-head results in mega encounters during ICC’s mega events.

Moreover, the Indian team has also been dominating the proceedings during major ICC events since 2011 henceforth stealing the spotlight from their arch-rivals.
