Summary Shahryar Khan has said he would discuss the matter with BCCI officials on June 4.
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Although the chances of Pakistan-India bilateral series in near future are not very high, but Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Shahryar Khan is still trying to make it happen.
Sources have revealed that negotiations between the officials of Pakistan and India are likely in Birmingham on June 4 during the ICC Champions Trophy match between these two arch-rivals.
Shahryar Khan has said that he would discuss the matter once again with the officials of BCCI in Birmingham, otherwise PCB will raise the matter in ICC. Shahryar Khan also admitted that the chances of bilateral series with India are very less.
It is worth mentioning here that Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had sent a legal notice to Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) for compensation of money that it lost by not having the series.
BCCI rejected the notice of PCB by saying that no legal document was signed regarding the series, and once again gave the same excuse that it requires its government’s approval to play the series.
BCCI had signed an MoU (Memorandum of understanding) with PCB to play six bilateral series against Pakistan, but it did not play even one.
