KARACHI (Dunya News) – Pakistan cricket team has left here for West Indies where it will play a series Twenty20, ODIs and Tests.

Talking to media at Karachi Airport, skipper Sarfaraz Ahmad and coach Mickey Arthur termed the tour to West Indies as really crucial for direct qualification for 2019 Cricket World Cup.

Mickey Arthur revealed at the occasion that he personally feel sad over suspension of Sharjeel Khan and Khalid Latif, however he also added that we don’t need to worry now.

The coach of Pakistani cricket team expressed that West Indies is not an easy team to defeat and that the pitches in West Indies will suit Pakistani team.

Mickey Arthur let it be known that there is a margin of betterment in fielding and fitness level and that the first priority in this regard will be direct qualification for World Cup.

Sarfaraz Ahmad revealed at the occasion that Sohail Khan exhibited excellent performance during PSL.

The skipper however didn’t comment about the fixing scandal.

He professed that we need to maintain discipline and in order to qualify directly for the World Cup, we will have to win this series.

Sarfaraz also expressed his satisfaction over the preparations for the West Indies tour.
