As per details, a discussion was held regarding Test captaincy of Misbah-ul-Haq in the recently held meeting of PCB in Dubai, and proposal to appoint new Test captain has been postponed because PCB Chairman Shahryar Khan and head coach Mickey Arthur want Misbah to lead Pakistan Test squad in the upcoming series against West Indies.
On the other hand, chief selector Inzamam-ul-Haq has opposed this idea completely and asked PCB to appoint Sarfraz Ahmed as the captain of all three formats of the game. Consultations of PCB are still going on, and Misbah is expected to give his resignation as Test captain soon.
