LAHORE (Dunya News) – The chief selector of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and former class batsman Inzamam ul Haq had a media talk earlier on Tuesday.

He defended ODI skipper Azhar Ali while saying that everything cannot be blamed on the captain when things are not going so well. Many questions are raised when a player doesn’t perform.

“Team will not undergo drastic changes after defeat in Australia tour, only relevant changes will be made”, the chief selector affirmed. He announced good news for the first class cricketers having higher strike rates saying that they will be given a chance in the international squad.

“It’s the PCB chairman’s call to name a captain. The same cricketer leads a team in all three formats in the international arena”, he added.

He further suggested to bid honorable farewell to players upon retirement.
