LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Monday has deferred the decision of giving new central contracts to the players during England tour.
According to details, the authorities had wished to renew the central contracts of cricketers before England series as they are due to expire on June 30 but, Head Coach Mickey Arthur and NCA Director Mudassar Nazar opposed the decision.
It was also considered that the performance of players especially Umar Akmal and Ahmed Shahzad would be inspected at first priority after which the contracts would be given.
Sources told that a committee that will include chief selector Inzamam-ul-Haq and Director General International Cricket Usman Wahla would be formed to look into the matter.
Moreover, players’ signatures would also be taken on the code of conduct paper.
