Pakistani team reach Dhaka to participate in Asia Cup

Summary Bowling coach departed for England because of personal matters, will rejoin team in day's time

DHAKA (Web Team) – The Pakistani cricket team have reached Dhaka, Bangladesh, on Wednesday to participate in the Asia Cup 2016, after the conclusion of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), reported Dunya News.

Newly appointed bowling coach Azhar Mahmood was unable to go along with the team as he had to leave for England because of some personal matters. He will rejoin the side within one or two days.

Pakistan will play their opening game of the tournament against archrivals India on Saturday. Team manager Intikhab Alam has stated that the players are all pumped up for the first encounter.

A number of players will debut their T20 careers in the Asia Cup. Along with India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka, United Arab Emirates (UAE) will be the fifth team to play the tournament.
