To stop Mohammad Amir from making his way into the team, MQM submits motion in NA
ISLAMABAD: (Dunya News) – Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) has on Tuesday submitted an adjournment motion in National Assembly against the inclusion of fast bowler Mohammad Amir into the team, reported Dunya News.
The motion states that no player having tainted Pakistan’s image before the world should be allowed to represent the country again. It states that Amir, Salman Butt and Mohammad Asif were found involved in spot-fixing. It also demanded a debate on the subject in the parliament.
The motion submitted by MQM also demanded action against all the three cricketers.
Mohammad Amir, who had been found guilty of spot-fixing and banned for 5 years for the same, has been included in the One-Day International (ODI) and Twenty20 squads for the New Zealand tour.
New Zealand immigration officials have confirmed that Mohammad Amir’s visa request has been received and the decision on the visa is expected within next few days.
