CHRISTCHURCH (AFP) - Sri Lanka won the toss for the second one-day international against New Zealand and again elected to bat first at the Hagley Oval in Christchurch on Monday.
The match is being played on the same wicket where New Zealand, batting second, won the first ODI on Saturday by a comfortable seven wickets.
Sri Lanka captain Angelo Mathews has stacked his side with spin options, replacing Ajantha Mendis and Suranga Lakmal with Sachithra Senanayake and debutant Jeffrey Vandersay.
"We re playing on the same wicket. It s slightly overcast but looks good for batting," Mathews said.
New Zealand have made one change with spinner Ish Sodhi coming in for Adam Milne who has a sore heel, while Kane Williamson continues to be rested to give his injured knee time to strengthen.
