Shahid Afridi pays tribute to APS martyrs, survivors in Multan

Summary Candlelight vigil was also observed at the end of ceremony to show solidarity with the martyrs.

MULTAN (Dunya News) – National Twenty20 team captain Shahid Afridi on Thursday paid a tribute to the martyrs of Army Public School (APS) in Multan as the incident marked one year.

A ceremony was arranged at a private marriage hall in Multan in which Shahid Afridi was invited as a chief guest.

Addressing the event, Afridi lamented the ferocious tragedy and said that December 16 massacre is a day never to be forgotten. He said that the sacrifices of APS students would always be remembered till the end.



Talking about the current position of cricket, Shahid Afridi applauded the efforts of PSL and players. He said that Muhammad Amir is performing well and honestly, therefore, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) should take a positive decision on Amir’s inclusion in national team matter.

Moreover, candlelight vigil was also observed at the end of ceremony to show solidarity with the martyrs.
