BCCI goes back on its word, says 'did not invite Pakistan for tour'

BCCI Chairman has said that no final verdict has been reached regarding the fate of the series

LAHORE (Dunya News) – In a classic act of U-turn by the Board of Control of Cricket in India (BCCI), the organization has gone back on its word to host Pakistan on its soil. BCCI Chairman Shashank Manohar has said that Pakistan misunderstood the invitation, saying that noise interference during a phone call was behind the miscommunication, reported Dunya News.

Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Shahrayar Khan has said that Shashank Manohar called him and informed that Indian government has given permission to play series in India. However, BCCI Chairman has said that no final verdict has been reached regarding the fate of the series.

He further added that due to noise interference during the phone call, Shahrayar Khan could not understand certain things he had said.

BCCI Chairman has said that he will contact Shahrayar Khan once again to discuss the particulars.
