LAHORE (Dunya News) - Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Shaharyar Khan on Thursday has approved star cricketer Younis Khan’s inclusion in one-day international (ODI) squad against England in Dubai.
According to sources, selection committee was already agreed to put experienced batsman in ODI squad against England but Pakistan team management especially Head Coach Waqar Younis is still reluctant to take Younis in, as it will effect on team combination.
Meanwhile, chief selector Haroon Rashid has departed for Dubai to hold meeting with team management to resolve the issue.
The dazzling batsman would replace Babar Azam in case of getting his name in the ODI squad.
The 37-year-old overhauled Javed Miandad s aggregate of 8832 runs on Tuesday during his knock of 38 against England in the first Test in Abu Dhabi, adding to his already achieved Pakistan record of 30 centuries. He achieved the milestone in his 102nd Test, 22 less than Miandad. He compared the achievement to "climbing a wall" for someone who hails from the small town of Mardan in the northwest of Pakistan.

"I have climbed the wall but still want to go on as I am never satisfied with my achievements. When I look back on my career I came to Karachi to play for Pakistan and had to struggle a lot."
Younis Khan has scored 7240 runs in 254 innings he played with an average of 31.34.
