Summary Afghanistan beat Zimbabwe by 3 wickets to level five-match one-day series 2-2.
BULAWAYO (Dunya News) - Mohammad Shahzad made 80 as Afghanistan beat Zimbabwe by three wickets to level their five-match one-day series at 2-2 with one match left to play.
Zimbabwe set a target of 185 runs from 50 overs after winning the toss and electing to bat first, losing eight wickets.
However, Afghan batsmen managed to chase the given target with a brilliant opening by Noor Ali Zadran, scoring 26 runs and Mohammad Shahzad who scored 80 runs from 81 balls by hitting 7 fours and 3 sixes.
With today’s ODI match, levelling the series 2-2, Afghanistan will face Zimbabwe in the final match of the ODI series on Saturday, 24th October.
Mohammad Nabi was caught out after scoring 12 runs along with Nawroz Mangal who scored only 6 runs, Samiullah Shenwari 10 runs, Shafiqullah 4 runs, Asghar Stanikzai 32 runs but Rashid Khan remained not out by scoring 9 runs along with Mirwais Ashraf who scored no runs.
On the bowling side, Dawlat Zadran managed to take 3 wickets from 9 overs, Rashid Khan took 2 wickets and Mohammad Nabi took one wicket along with Amir Hamza.
