Dunya Cricket League: IT, News make their way to semi-final

LAHORE: (Web Desk) – IT and News Room teams on Monday made it to the semi-final stages of the Dunya Media Group Cricket League. IT team made its way to semi-final due to better run-rate while News Room team easily made it to the next round.

Sales and Marketing team secured a thumping victory in its first match of the Group-A, beating Dunya News Page Makers team.

In the second match, IT team betted first and set a target of 50 runs for Dunya News Page-makers which they chased down in the final over of the game.

In the third game of the group, Dunya News IT team bowled brilliantly to restrict the winners of the first game Sales and Marketing team to 18 runs in 5 overs.

IT team chased down the meager total in just the 2nd over and made it to the semi-final due to better run-rate as all the three teams of this group had won 1 game each.

Dunya News IT team will play the semi-final tomorrow against the winner of the Group-C.

News Room team performed brilliantly in the Group-B and qualified for the semi-final. The team will play the semi-final tomorrow against the winner of Group-D.
