Summary 5 franchises would take part in tournament while 15 international players will participate in PSL

 LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) quelled rumors regarding the launch of Pakistan Super League (PSL) on Wednesday as it announced the launch of the cricket league in Qatar from February 9, 2016. The 5 franchises in the league will have more than 15 international cricketers in their ranks, reported Dunya News.

The schedule for PSL was announced by Chairman of executive committee Najam Sethi in a press conference. Najam Sethi said that the fixtures would take place from February 4 in Doha. He said that Qatar Olympic Association is excited at the prospect of launching PSL adding that the agreement between Qatar Olympic Association and PCB would be signed in 10 days.

Najam Sethi underlined the importance of PSL saying that it is an important milestone for Pakistani cricket and PCB. He said that franchises from the city of Lahore, Karachi, Quetta, Peshawar and Islamabad would take part in the league while 15 international players have agreed to take part in the tournament.
