Summary Kaneria was banned by ECB in June, 2012 after he was found guilty of corruption in 2009.
KARACHI (Dunya News) – England and Whales Cricket Board (ECB) on Wednesday has filed a petition against Pakistan leg-spinner Danish Kaneria in Sindh High Court (SHC) in spot-fixing case, Dunya News reported.
As per details, the plea was registered by Barrister Khawaja Naveed in which the board has demanded to seize property of the accused and sought fine of £ 2,49000.
Pakistani player has already bore sentence in a case filed by ECB.
Earlier, Kaneria was banned by ECB in June, 2012 after he was found guilty of corruption while playing with Essex in 2009. The ECB imposed a lifetime ban and costs of £100,000 on Kaneria. He appealed against the conviction but that was dismissed.
