(Web Desk) – Sri Lanka scored 256 runs at the loss of 9 wickets in their allotted quota of 50 overs in the 3rd One Day International of Pak-Sri Lanka ODI series at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on Wednesday.

Opener Perera fell for the 2nd ball of the innings by fast bowler Muhammad Irfan as the hosts got their first breakthrough without the Islanders scoring a single run.

Opener Dilshan and one-down batsman Thirimanne then added 109 for the 2nd wicket to provide a solid base for Sri Lankans to capitalize on.
The next 6 batsmen made starts but could not make the best of the opportunity as all of them reached double figures but could not go beyond 20 runs mark.

Superb fielding effort by the Pakistani fielders enforced 7 catches and a run-out out of the total 9 wickets taken.

Bowlers Muhammad Irfan and Anwar Ali took 2 wickets each while Rahat Ali, Yasir Shah and Imad Wasim chipped in with a single wicket each to contribute to the effort that restricted home side to 256 runs.

Pakistan requires 256 runs at a run rate of 5.12 per over.
