COLOMBO (AFP, Web desk) – Sri Lanka has scored 64 runs at the loss of just one wicket in the opening day on the opening day of Second Test against Sri Lanka in Colombo on Thursday.

Opener Karunaratne fell to Junaid Khan, caught behind by wicket-keeper, while chasing a wide ball on the off-side as Sri Lanka lost its sole wicket of the session.

Kaushal Silva and Kumar Sangakkara are on crease at 21 and 14 respectively.

Pakistan were shot out for 138 in their first innings just before tea on the opening day of the second Test against Sri Lanka in Colombo on Thursday.

Off-spinner Tharindu Kaushal grabbed five wickets and seamer Dhammika Prasad took three as the tourists lost eight batsmen in the afternoon session when they resumed after lunch at 70-2.

Pakistan lead the three-match series after winning the first Test in Galle by 10 wickets.

Senior batsman Younis Khan made his 100th Test appearance for Pakistan, who went in with the same team that won the first Test in Galle by 10 wickets.
